Angular Cheilitis Cure Western School Medicine VS Holistic Cure

Many people rather consult a doctor from the western school medicine than trying to give trust to eastern medicine, which performs a holistic approach.  The reason for this seams to be clear, since the advantages of the western school medicine are lying in a good management of emergency situations.  Serious infections can be treated fast and successfully with antibiotics, broken bones and internal disorders can be fixed by surgical intervention.

In contrast to this, many chronic diseases, like hypertension, diabetes, caries etc., cannot be cured, just being managed, a profitable market for the pharmaceutical industry, which will have life-long customers.  In many cases, weight reduction, a bit of physical exercise, and a solid and healthy diet can abolish hypertension, or at least improve blood pressure readings.

Angular cheilitis can occur sporadically or more frequently.  A more frequent outbreak of the disease indicates some more serious underlying events, which need to be evaluated in order to improve also the cheilitis disease.  Western school medicine will most often prescribe hydrocortisones in order to contain the inflammation.  Yet inflammation is not the problem, since it is a natural reaction of the body to problems in the affected area.  To get rid of the inflammation, the inflammatory causes have to be addressed.  Prescribing antifungal and antibiotic medications will eradicate the microorganism in the area and thus improving most probably the inflammation.  But if medication and medical care go only as far as to this point, the patient is very likely to be seen in the doctor’s office over and over again.  Iron and vitamin B supplementation go one step further into the correct direction, but the supplementation itself can cause different problems, since those supplements are mostly of artificial nature, being produced by laboratories and therefore less in nutritional value.

A more decent approach to angular cheilitis and its permanent cure via high-value nutrients is a balanced diet and/or supplements which are based and processed on natural ingredients.  Symptomatic intervention can be applied in case of increased discomfort, but should be restricted to occasional applications.  Using antibiotics or even cortisone on a regular basis will reveal negative long-term effects, which become a medical problem for the patient on top of his original disease.

Even symptomatic intervention, like application of lip sticks, moisturizers etc., can be done more carefully by choosing products which are free of artificial ingredients, which might abolish actual discomfort, but aggravate the situation in the near future.
